Easter 2014
The children were so
excited to get a black, little bunny for their new pet and for Easter. Many
names were thought of like Midnight, Cloudy, Blackie, Oreo, and Tar Baby. All
the names were voted on and Tar Baby was the winner!! Dad thought of it.
It’s
a sweet, lion head breed. He’s a boy! He is so calm and will only get about 7
lbs big. Everyone loved the new bunny.
Mom picked him up after tumbling on Friday. On Saturday they played with
him and held him a lot. The children let him play on the grass surrounded by
chicken wire so he wouldn’t run off. Or would he?? Late Saturday afternoon the
bunny was missing! Oh no! Where could he have gone? He must of slipped under
the chicken wire and hopped away. We prayed, looked all over, and prayed some
more. Becca made a missing bunny sign and we walked down to the neighbors and
looked in their yards. On Saturday night we had our family BBQ and egg hunt.
Everyone went to the park to play baseball while mom hid eggs. She thought she
heard some movement in the backyard, but could see the bunny. We prayed again
at family prayer for our missing bunny. Mom announced in RS Sunday that we were
missing our bunny. On Sunday afternoon (Easter) Becca ran in the house. “We saw
our bunny!!” We all ran out and looked under the deck again. Addi said she saw
it under the lawn mower. Jared and Dad gently pulled it out and sure enough,
there was Tar Baby!!
