I have been asked to speak this Easter Sunday in Sacrament Meeting.  The Spirit has blessed me with promptings for what I need to say.  I love the Lord. This is His church. It is a living Church with modern revelation. He knows us individually and knows what our ward family needs to hear.  I love the Lord. Did I say that? :) My scripture study has taken on greater meaning for me since the beginning of the year when I started taking notes as I read.  I have gained a greater understanding as I've applied them to me personally. I've also come to know the Savior better. What a blessing He gives to all who will reach out to Him.

Our USU Leadership Conference went well.  Our council took second place in the State. We were there with Nate from our family.(By the way Nate got two jobs- paper route and pizza maker!)  The group we took were fantastic kids.  Before the vote for a new President of the Association I went in a quiet room and knelt down and prayed. My desire was that Heavenly Father would take this in His hands and only bless me with the opportunity if it were right for my family and the Association.  I was flattered when I was nominated by another councils adviser instead of the one we prearranged.  The presentations and votes were taken and the adviser from Clinton City won.  I felt peace. I have worked hard and knew God was over all.  What a blessing.

As I was typing this I got a call from the school.  The Principal said M was selected as the Laudible Lion!  This is an award given to the student who stands out in good behavior and does there best, etc. I thanked her then said all three of our Lakeside Elementary students have been Laudible Lions this year.  She said, "You have very good children.  Every teacher is excited when they see a Seffker in their class." I am so proud of our children. Not just for their good grades but how they treat God's children around them.  I am proud of J. He befriends a boy who is autistic.  J always plays with him. His teacher said he always helps him and pairs up with him if an assignment requires a partnership.  Little Becca has likewise reached out to a classmate.

What a beautiful time of year too. I see flower buds coming up through the dirt and buds starting on the trees.  I love the newness of life and cycle of living I see all around me.  I think I might have to take my little ones on a nature walk today! Yes, I think so.... after I clean off E's FACE!
